A través de una conferencia de prensa con el fin de informar sobre el nuevo virus que ha llegado al país, el subsecretario de Prevención y Promoción de Salud, Hugo López-Gatell, indicó que el uso del cubrebocas para prevenir el coronavirus es un “mito“.

Esto debido a que una vez que una persona se mueve el tapabocas, ya sea para comer, o acomodárselo, el aire del que se estuvo “protegiendo”, entra el cuerpo, por lo que su uso se vuelve inútil.
Explicó que la máscara quirúrgica sólo es necesaria en lugares como los quirófanos que se encuentran con el mismo aire por horas y de igual manera, no es un producto que se muevan, además de que una vez que lo terminan de usar, no se reutiliza, sino toman uno nuevo.

Esto luego de que en la conferencia matutina del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, se dieran a conocer los dos casos que hay de coronavirus en el país.
Uno de estos apareció en Sinaloa y otro en la Ciudad de México.
Cabe recalcar que ambos casos están aislados y esperan a realizarse una segunda prueba para descartar que se haya confundido con otra enfermedad viral, como la influenza.
