La Justicia federal de Estados Unidos está investigando una red de funcionarios mexicanos que estaría conectada con el ex Secretario de Seguridad Genaro García Luna.

La información fue revelada por la Fiscalía estadounidense en una audiencia de García Luna en Nueva York, quien enfrenta un juicio por presuntamente haber recibido sobornos del Cártel de Sinaloa, según explicó el periodista de The New York Times, Alan Feurer, en su cuenta de Twitter.
"Los fiscales no los nombraron, pero dijeron que eran coconspiradores en el caso", explicó Feurer en un tuit.
Muchos de estos funcionarios aún están en México y muchos de ellos tienen importantes puestos y posiciones en el sector privado, según uno de los fiscales.
En la audiencia, un juez negó a García Luna la libertad bajo fianza, luego de que sus abogados ofrecieran pagar un millón de dólares para llevar el proceso en libertad.
Dejó, sin embargo, abierta la posibilidad para un nuevo intento.
